S5000F 3.2: Data modeling
Presentation
The S5000F specification supports the collection of information from equipment usage for the purposes of optimising maintenance intervals, verifying compliance with reliability requirements, warranty claims, cost studies, etc.
A major challenge for support is being able to collect real-world information (in service) and feed it back into SLI processes or even redesign processes.
To do this, in-service feedback (S5000F) allows system data to be structured and analysed with the aim of continuously improving its support and design.
The S-Series specifications are based on a similar IT environment: UML 2.0 modelling and XML 1.1 exchange format.
This training module is based on: the SX002D Common Data Model, the SX004G Unified Modelling Language (UML) model reader’s guidance specification, the SX005G S-Series ILS specifications XML schema implementation guidance specification, and the UML models and various XML schemas (XSD) provided by the S-Series.
The module presents the S5000F specification in the context of the S-Series pack.

Duration
3 days
Price
On demand
Target
RETEX Engineer / Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and anyone who needs to produce or manage S5000F data.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites
A general knowledge of SLI is an advantage.
Knowledge of UML and XML is an advantage. We will mainly be working with these technical elements during this training course.
Location
All our training courses can be delivered in person or remotely. Intra-company or inter-company training.
Accessibility
4D CONCEPT is committed to offering training courses to everyone. Our centres are accessible to people with reduced mobility, and our teams are on hand to provide the best possible support to participants with disabilities of any kind throughout their training.
Please contact our disability advisor at psh-accueil@.4dconcept.fr so that we can assess your request and its feasibility.
Goals
By the end of the training course, you will have covered the following topics:
- ASD S-Series data modelling method (UML)
- Formalisation of ASD S-Series data exchanges in XML format
- Reading elements for easy entry into S5000F
And you will know how to:
- Model (UML) S5000F data
- How to specify and model an S5000F use case
- How to produce a simple S5000F XML file
You will have:
Initial experience in implementing practical data exchange cases (XML messages): formalisation and construction of a use case example: maintenance activity report, modification of an applied configuration, etc.
